New Hampshire HiSET Requirements
*Everyone must register for the HiSET exam on HiSET.org. Create student accounts, payment is made online and schedules for testing.*
To take the HiSET exam in the State of New Hampshire, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
· Age: You must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school to take the HiSET exam. If under 18 years of age please contact us for exceptions to this requirement.
· Residency: You must be a resident of New Hampshire or have physically resided in New Hampshire to take the HiSET exam. You will need proof that you live in New Hampshire with a driver's license or other proof of residency.
· Test Prep or Instruction: Contact us to inquire about classes.
· Practice Test: New Hampshire does not require you to take a practice test to qualify for the HiSET exam. The exemption to this is if you are under 18 yrs of age. A student under the age of 18 must pass all pre-test prior to taking the official HiSET exam.
· Identification: You must present identification on test day at the HiSET test center. A valid driver's license, non drivers, passport, military ID, or other form of government issued identification that shows, name, address, date of birth, signature and photograph are acceptable forms of identification. Outdated or expired identification will not be accepted.
Testing options
The HiSET exam is available in both computer- and paper-delivered formats in New Hampshire. Contact us for more information. You must specify when you register at HiSET.org which option paper or computer.
Test Day
You will need to bring :
· Acceptable and valid ID. Make sure your name on your ID appears EXACTLY as it does on your profile you created in your HiSET account when you scheduled your HiSET exam.
· Proof that you live in New Hampshire with a valid driver's license or other proof of residency. (Please see identification above) A bill or statement is not acceptable. You must be a resident of New Hampshire or have physically resided in New Hampshire to take the HiSET test at a test center in New Hampshire.
· Layered clothing that will allow you to adapt to a range of room temperatures.
Please note: Cell phones, Smart Watches, or any other electronic devices are not permitted at the test center !
